General Information

The library is the first and only women library among public institutions and it is established in 1994 with the aim of collecting, organizing and bring into use all the publications and documentations about women studies from Turkey and other countries.

Women Classification System and Thesaurus created in 1994 are used for the classification of the collection.

The BLISS PC program was started to be used in local network of the Directorate General in 1996 and the new version of the program is still being used for processes of catalog search, lending and preparing the list of the publications.
        
The collection composed of books, articles, country reports, statistics, reference books, audio-visual publishings, photo albums, banners and brochures provided with procurement and endowment are being put into service for users with open shelf system.

Working Hours
The library provides service weekday between 09.00-12.30 / 13.30-18.00.
